The Funambulist | No 50 Redefining Our Terms

The achievements of a generation of activists and politically committed intellectuals to have our (anticolonial, antiracist, queer, feminist, among others) nomenclature surge into public imaginaries, has led to a dilution of this vocabulary’s political meanings. Each contribution of this issue thus proposes a subjective definition of a such a term, the issue acting like a useful glossary to reflect on our struggles.

The Funambulist is a platform that engages with the politics of space and bodies. Their hope is to provide a useful platform where activist/academic/practitioner voices can meet and build solidarities across geographical scales. Through articles, interviews, artworks, and design projects, they are assembling an ongoing archive for anticolonial, antiracist, queer, and feminist struggles.
